We are back with the Economic Calendar for this week’s final trading day, which is extremely light. The partial US Government shutdown remains in effect, so a number of regular publications are not released.
The German IFO Survey for January opens this agenda at 9 o’clock in the morning. According to the IFO Institute, Business Climate Index declined by 1 point to 101 points in December. Companies were less satisfied with their current business situation, pushing the index lower.
The UK CBI Distributive Trades Survey for January is the other and the final item for this agenda. The survey balance disappointed in December by dropping to minus 13. This was the first negative reading since early 2018. The market estimate is for a return to the positive territory in this release.
I’m Jack Everitt and that’s all for Friday’s Economic Calendar. Have a great weekend and click back on Monday for more on FX Markets.
