Spain’s producer price inflation increased in November, the statistical office INE reported Friday.

Producer price inflation rose to 3.1 percent in November from 2.8 percent in October.

Energy prices surged 6.3 percent annually. Excluding energy, producer prices growth eased to 2 percent from 2.3 percent a month ago.

Data showed that consumer goods prices gained 1.4 percent and capital goods by 0.7 percent. Intermediate goods prices rose notably by 3.3 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices moved up 0.5 percent in November, following October’s 0.8 percent increase.
