The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended December 14, the final estimate of GDP data for the third quarter and Philadelphia Fed manufacturing index for November are due at 8:30 am ET Thursday.

Ahead of these data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback rose against the franc, the yen and the pound, it fell against the euro.

The greenback was worth 1.1856 versus the euro, 1.3360 against the pound, 0.9895 against the franc and 113.53 against the yen as of 8:25 am ET.
