Chilean industrial production rose by 4.2% in October on an annual basis, accelerating from the 2.4% yearly advance posted in September, said the country’s statistics office.

In October, Chile’s mining activity rose by 10.5% annually and increased 1.0% on a monthly comparison, “showing a recovery in the short-term.”

Meanwhile, the Electricity, Gas and Water Production Index had a 12-month increase of 1.1% in October, but fell from September, while the manufacturing sector production index rose by 0.1% in 12 months and 2.9% against the month before.
