Question on use of multisignature addresses for long term storage.

A friend has some bitcoins she would like to securely store for long term with safety from theft and with contingency if something happens to her. If she divided up funds among a couple multisignature addresses would multisignature be future proof? Lets say like 50 years from now would the multisignature address still be spendable? What is safety of using multisignature for long term storage?
