I want to say thanks to Bitcoin Core for fighting hard against the Bitcoin hard fork in the last year. It was hard to make arguments when Gavin and Mike Hearn’s hard fork was so popular, but hopefully those guys who don’t see Bitcoin as a long term stable store of value went to play with Ethereum. Segwit is an awesome change, and I think it just shows how many more things can be done with soft-forks in the future (even though soft-forks have their own risks as well, they are still smaller).

I’m not against what Ethereum is trying to achieve: I’d love Bitcoin to be more programmable, like Ethereum as fast as possible, but not if we have to pay the price in security or fungibility of Bitcoin (which still needs lots of improvements, but I also know that the Core team is working hard on it)
