U.s. Indexes opened lower as traders await Wednesdays Fed meeting, if Policy makers hint that they will raise interest rates sooner, this could push investors towards the Dollar and in turn lower average share prices in the stock market. Nasdaq Composite is down 0.18%, S&P 500 dropped 0.43% and Dow Jones is currently trading 0.73% lower. American Airlines today rallied 5.7% following news that the company is to join S&P 500 after it is “acquired by Activis, which is expected to take place on Tuesday”, this move has attracted buyers as it boosted confidence in the once struggling company. BHP Billiton traded higher despite a disappointing report showing that profits in the second quarter fell as much as 47%, the share price is up by 1.41%, trading at 43.15 points.
