Today’s Hot Asset – Telefonica
Stocks in Asia traded mixed during today’s early trading session. Investors within Asia will usually react to the previous movement in the last U.S. trading session. However, as the American markets were closed on Friday due to their national Independence Day holiday, investors did not have much to work with. As a result stocks traded mixed throughout the session today and the created lots of price reversals for binary options investors.
Stocks in Europe traded steady during the final trading session of the week. Many investors closed their books early for the week following the action that was created during last Thursday’s session. Also investors new that the U.S. markets would be closed later in the day on Friday so they tried to anticipate the lower levels of movement.
The stock markets in the U.S. were closed on Friday last week due to the national holiday, Independence Day. The markets will re-open as normal today so expect to see some good movement.
Today’s hot asset is, Telefonica. The Spanish media company announced on Friday that they are going to buy Mediaset Espana’s 22% stake in Canal+, which will give them full ownership of the TV firm. Moves like this will not go unnoticed by investors and I expect to see the reaction continue throughout today’s session, which is why this is my hot asset of the day.
