September 11, 2014 – Stock Market

Asian stocks closed mixed as Chinese indexes extended biggest drop in the last six months with Lenovo dropping 4.19% on worries that Apple Inc new product line will take over some of their growth in the smartphones business. In Japan, Softbank advanced 2.89%. Gazprom (-1.49%), the largest extractor of natural gas in the world, releasing it earning reports today.

European stocks entered a bearish trend as the EU plan to impose additional sanctions on Russia starting tomorrow. Lloyds Banking Group PLC is up 0.87% after announcing they would move their headquarters to England in case the union with Scotland would be broken. Barclays PLC is down 1.31% after the stock was rated as “Hold” by berenberg Bank.

Yesterday, U.S. stocks advanced. Apple Inc lead the movement with a 3.07% increase. Intel Corp added 0.32% after launching its most energy efficient processor yesterday. Also, Yahoo! Inc advanced 0.88% but is showing a 0.39% in pre market trading.
