The fact that so many fast-food companies have managed to remain decisively ahead of McDonald’s should be a warning to the fast food giant.  Despite revamps in its menus to try – unsuccessfully – to break the negative associations with obesity and health issues, McDonald’s is still behind competition on topics it can more easily affect; employee paychecks and benefits.  With worker strikes in 190 cities in the US, McDonald’s stands to lose more than face if they can’t fix their own house; already, McDonald’s branches overseas have had to ration servings to clients due to lacks of supplies.

While scandals surrounded Facebook are generally ignored by the majority of Facebook users, new data shows that fewer adolescents and young adults are using the social networking than there used to be.  While an overwhelming majority of teens in the US still use Facebook, the percentage of them with accounts has been steadily decreasing since 2012.  A large part of this decrease has to do with the rise of photo sharing and mass-texting apps providing similar services but without the negative stigma attached with the number of scandals and privacy violations attributed to Facebook.
