European markets have opened lower today, reversing some of their gains posted in the previous session, amid ongoing geopolitical concerns in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Later today, the minutes of the Bank of England’s latest monetary policy meeting and UK mortgage approvals data for June will be on investors’ radar. Additionally, traders will closely track a speech from the Bank of England (BoE) Governor, Mark Carney, for further indications on the BoE’s future policy stance.
