European markets have opened in the red today, tracking Friday’s losses on Wall Street and after preliminary data indicated that China’s manufacturing activity dropped for a fifth consecutive month in March.

With no release of major domestic economic data during the day, investors would eye Eurozone and US manufacturing PMI data for further cues.
