UK markets have opened in the green today. The US Fed continued to trim its monthly bond purchase programme in its policy meeting concluded yesterday. Other European markets are closed today on account of Labour Day holiday. 

Closer home, Nationwide reported that house prices in the UK rose more than expected by 10.9% YoY in April. Going forward, traders will eye the UK and US manufacturing reports for further direction.
