European markets have opened mostly higher today, extending recent gains triggered by heightened prospects of additional stimulus measures by the European Central Bank.
Meanwhile, data indicated that the forward-looking GfK consumer confidence index in Germany dropped in September. With no major economic releases later in the day, traders will continue to track geopolitical developments in Ukraine, Gaza and Iraq.
