European markets have opened higher today, tracking overnight gains on Wall Street, and as investors await the outcome of the US Federal Reserve’s (Fed) monetary policy meeting in which the Fed is widely expected to announce further reduction in its bond purchase programme. Moreover, traders will pay close attention to the Fed Chief, Janet Yellen’s post policy conference for guidance to interest rates and the central bank’s economic outlook.

Closer home, market participants will keep a tab on the minutes of the Bank of England’s latest monetary policy meeting due later today.
