September 9, 2014 – Daily Market News

Today’s main event on stock market will be conference of Apple. At 5.00PM GMT the company is about to release new iPhone 6 and iWatch. U.S stocks closed mixed yesterday with the S&P 500 declining 0.31% closing a single point above the 2k line. The Dow-Jones is down 0.15%. However the NASDAQ gained 0.20% on tech companies advancement and especially on Yahoo! Inc. which added 4.8%.

European stocks are currently mixed as the the EU put on hold the new round of sanctions against Russia. In the UK, the FTSE 100 index declined 0.3% on uncertainty regarding the Scottish independence referendum due to take place next week. The French CAC 40 index advance 0.26% as the German DAX advance 0.11%. Later on today today the Bank of England governor, Carney, will hold a press conference, some analyst believe he might stress the economic implications of the Scottish referendum.

On Forex market we saw a big movement on USD/JPY paring which increased to new 6 year high. Also Euro and Pound are dropping against stronger U.S. Dollar.

08.30 GMT: GBP – Manufacturing Production – measures the change in the total inflation-adjusted value of output produced by manufacturers.

14.00 GMT: USD – JOLTS Job Openings – Number of job openings during the reported month, excluding the farming industry

14.00 GMT: GBP – NIESR GDP Estimate – measures the change in the estimated value of all goods and services produced by the economy during the previous three months
