Talks between the U.S., Uk, Ukraine and Russia over Ukraine concluded yesterday. Putin stated that he hopes that he won’t have to send in troops. The tension appeared to ease and this was bullish for stocks.  U.S. stocks gained as sentiment was lifted and companies released quarterly results. The S&P 500 gained for a fourth day closing 0.14% higher, while the Dow Jones declined 0.1%. Asian stocks also reacted to the meeting in Geneva. The Nikkei closed 0.68% higher as the Yen weakened against the U.S. Dollar as people turned away from safe haven assets. The hang Seng remained closed for the holiday.

Other markets will remain closed today for Good Friday including markets in France, Germany, the UK, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, Canada, United States, Mexico and Brazil.
