European markets have opened mostly lower today. Yesterday, the Eurogroup’s approval to Greece’s reform proposals paved way for a four-month extension to the country’s financial aid, while the US Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen’s testimony tempered expectations of an imminent rate hike in the US.

Later today, the focus will be on UK BBA mortgage approvals and a speech by the BoE Governor for further direction. Across the Atlantic, Janet Yellen’s second day of testimony before US policymakers would be tracked closely by investors.
