Boeing expects to increase defense equipment contracts in Asia to drastically improve. A number of countries, including Malaysia, are expected to start replacing outdated fighter planes with newer models. With territorial tensions and disputed regions causing insecurities among Asian nations, Boeing expects a steady increase in sales to the region. Beyond fighter planes, possible sales may include transport planes, tankers, and other defense equipment. Despite stock prices falling more than 1% during yesterday’s market, upcoming prospects look fairly solid for the contractor.
