Everyone seems to be getting on the wearable technologies, except for actual consumers.  Despite waning interest on the part of the tech-savvy populations, every company seems to be rushing to offer its own variation of wearable technology.  Alcatel just jumped on the bandwagon, announcing its own answer to the early wearable technology market.  Unlike other wearable ad campaigns, Alcatel has already addressed one of the initial and major issues that Google Glass and even the not-yet-released Apple Watch have already fallen prey to.  For a market to be realized, there has to either be a pre existing need for it, or it has to be accessible.  Alcatel claims that their smartwatch will be readily affordable, already setting it apart from other wearable products.  The watch is Android based, though few other specifications have been announced.
