Tesla: waiting on earnings and details of a roof-top charger | IG

Sam Sheehan, Autocar, says Tesla, which is becoming the Apple of the auto world, is getting closer to full ‘auto-pilot’ but it is still someway off for all roads. He says that on open, multi-lane roads the autopilot functionality will be able to work, but on smaller city and rural roads where the visual distance is limited, the full driverless car is still some years off. On roof charging Sam says the first generation will have limited capability, delivering little charge, but as time goes on Tesla will want to improve the capacity. Tesla reports earnings after the close of the US markets on Wednesday 26th October.
