How to trade the Apple chart ahead of earnings out after the close today | IG

As an all session stock on the IG platform you can trade the Apple chart after the US close as it reports earnings today. Ahead of the numbers we look at the consensus forecasts and the long term resistance built into current prices. As Jeremy Naylor explains that even if the stock does close up above the ascending line of resistance, there is not much distance to go before the stock then encounters another line of resistance that was last hit in early November 2015. On the downside, however, there is some distance to go before we find the last point at which buyers began the recent upward trend.
