23 July 2015: Robin Young, CEO of Amur Minerals, tells IG that having now registered the long awaited mining licence for its Kun Manie nickel asset in Russia, it is now ready to start the process of drilling.
He says they are now the 100% owner of all the mineral rights, which means they have the ability to extract all the nickel, palladium, copper, cobalt and gold and silver that comes along with it.
Mr Young says much of the work has been done to a plus pre- feasibility study level, some towards a DBS level. Amur will now take their PEA to an independent auditor.
They will be pursuing drilling as soon as possible and will drill until around November 1. He says if it is possible to get to 8,000 metres then it will be done. but he cant predict the total number of metres they can complete. What he is sure of is that they will be drilling and the results ‘should satisfy their shareholders’.
Young also discusses recent results and the company’s cash flow and how they are funding this project.
Among the milestones for the next year Young says they want to have finalised and implemented their detailed blueprint study and will have looked at the smelting options available to them.
