SK Hynix says rejected Tsinghua Unigroup collaboration offer

Chipmaker SK Hynix Inc. received a collaboration offer from China’s Tsinghua Unigroup Ltd. but rejected it, an SK Hynix spokeswoman said. She did not give further details. She also did not comment on media reports the recent cooperation proposal included an offer by the Chinese technology conglomerate to purchase up to 20 percent in SK Hynix.
South Korean company SK Hynix shares jumped a combined 8.4% on Wednesday and Thursday but were down 0.6%as of 0214 GMT on Friday.
