Japanese Nikkei rebounded on Tuesday from a four-week low after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen didn’t give a clear hint on the rate hiking timing of the Fed.

The share average of Nikkei gained 0.6 percent to 16,675.45 while the broader Topix rose 0.6 percent to 1,340.77, with resource-related companies outstripping the market.

Turnover remained low at 1.78 trillion yen, about a quarter below the average over the last 100 sessions.
