Africa’s biggest company by market value, Naspers Ltd., said its first-half profit likely jumped as much as 42%.

So-called core headline earnings per share for the 6 months ended Sept. 30 will be 37% to 42% higher than the 15.28 rand ($1.09) reported a year earlier, the Cape Town, South Africa-based company said in a statement Friday.

The results will be released on or about November 27.
