The Japanese yen slumped against most major counterparts on Wednesday.
The currency ended at ¥134.78 per euro from Tuesday’s ¥134.00, ¥182.42 per British pound from ¥181.91, ¥129.75 per Swiss franc from ¥129.31, and ¥99.69 per Canadian dollar from ¥99.29.
Meanwhile, the Bank of Japan will release the minutes of its monetary policy meeting held last April 7 and 8.
