The Japanese yen was somewhat changed versus its major counterparts Monday as industrial production declined less than projected in May.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, industrial production dropped to 2.1% in May from 2.2% in April.

The yen ended at ¥136.56 per euro, ¥122.61 per US dollar, ¥190.04 per British pound, and ¥130.39 per Swiss franc.
