The Japanese government has no plans to devalue the yen in order to bolster exports, denouncing stipulations the country is mulling over the idea.

Finance Minister Taro Aso, addressing parliament members, has reiterated the administration’s stance on the matter, saying they won’t jeopardize the currency just to amplify the nation’s competitiveness.

As of late, the minister has implied he seeks to implement direct interference in case the yen scored sudden advances noticed in April and May.
