The euro slid against major counterparts on Tuesday following its recent rally.

Against the US dollar and the Japanese yen, the common currency traded at $1.1102 from yesterday’s $1.1144, and ¥133.38 from ¥133.86, respectively. The shared currency also stood at £0.7370 and 1.0401 Swiss franc.

Euro positioning remains short to talk over for caution, but “GBP/USD, on the other hand, is vulnerable,” said Kit Juckes, Strategist at Societe Generale.
