Apple Inc. said it will begin charging for iTunes Radio soon. It is the iPhone maker’s music-streaming service competing with Pandora Media Inc.

In a statement, Apple said iTunes Radio will no longer be free from the end of January.

The ad-supported service will be folded into Apple Music, which costs $9.99 a month.
