Canadian Housing Starts for July follow a quarter past noon GMT. Starts surged by 28% month on month in June to reach the highest level in almost 10 years. A couple of US reports will be available at 12:30 PM, including the weekly Jobless claims update. Initial claims were up by just one thousand during the week ending on July the 28th. Producer Price Index for July is the other item out at this time. Both the Core and overall PPI were up by point 3% month on month in June. Canadian New Housing Price Index for June wraps up the 12:30 data run. Canadian new house prices remained unchanged on a national basis in May, for a third consecutive month. Final US Wholesale Trade for June is up next at 2 PM. According to the June Advance Economic Indicators report, wholesale inventories were virtually unchanged in June from a month ago. New Zealand Manufacturing PMI for July will be available at 10:30 PM. New Zealand’s level of manufacturing expansion experienced a dip in June as Index declined by 1.6 percentage points. Preliminary second quarter Japanese GDP could potentially shake up the Yen at ten to midnight. First quarter data disappointed with a quarterly contraction of point 2%. This was the first reading in the red since 2016. The Reserve Bank of Australia will issue their quarterly Statement on Monetary Policy at 1:30 in the morning and it will be monitored closely by the Ozzy Dollar traders. Japanese Tertiary Industry Index for June wraps up this calendar at 4:30 in the morning. Index showed a slight increase in May after jumping by 1% in April.
