The Swiss Economic Barometer for January will be available an hour later. The index fell by 2.6 points to 96.3 points in the final month of last year. It now stands below its long-term average, making the 2019 economic outlook cloudy. The UK Lending to Individuals stats for December will be available at 9:30 in the morning. According to the Bank of England, consumers borrowed nearly one billion Pounds to spend on goods and services in November. The US ADP Employment Report for January will be available at a quarter past 1 PM. The seasonally adjusted private-sector employment increased by 271 thousand from November to December. The fourth quarter advance US GDP could then shake up Greenback at 1:30 PM GMT. Economy grew at a downwardly revised annual pace of 3.4 percent in the third quarter. The growth is expected to slow down further in this publication. The US Pending Home Sales stats for December continue the US data run at 3 PM. Then another Greenback shaker follows at 7 PM, when the FOMC will release their monetary policy announcement. It will be followed by a closely watched press conference a half an hour- later. Markets are mostly anticipating no change to the funds rate. The preliminary Japanese Industrial Production report for December continues the data run at ten to midnight.
