It’s time for the final Dukascopy Economic Calendar of the week, where we take a look at the potential market movers scheduled for publication on Friday the 5th of October.
We start in Switzerland at 7-15AM with Swiss consumer price index for September. The last report was positive, showing a reading of 0.0%, compared to a 0.2% fall the month before that.
Then we head to the Uk for Halifax house price index for September, released at 7-30AM. The last report showed positive signs for the UK and was welcome reading for the UK’s homeowners.
We go across the Atlantic to Canada at 12-30PM GMT for Canadian Trade Balance for August. The last report showed good news for Canada as they neared a balance in July, mainly down to a rise in oil prices.
Then two releases from the US at the same time. First up US Trade Balance for August. Julyš report showed the biggest jump in 3 years to end up at 50.1 Billion Dollars.
Followed by US Employment Report for September, also released at 12-30. It waits to be seen if the US can keep up the pace displayed in last months report, which was hugely impressive.
Another report from Canada finishes the 12-30 releases, with the Canadian Labour Force Survey for September. After a messy report last time showed a loss of 51.6 thousand Jobs, forecast are predicting a gain of 25 thousand this time around.
The final Item in this report is another US reading and that is the Consumer credit report for August and that arrives at 7PM GMT. Total consumer credit picked up in July to rise to 16.6 Billion dollars.
That’s all for this Calendar with me, Jack Everitt, We’ll be back tomorrow with more, until then, goodbye.
