Market Holiday in Japan, RBA Release Meeting Minutes

This Monday is lighter than usual in terms of publications and markets are closed in Japan due to Respect for the Aged Day. Final Euro Zone Consumer Price Index for August opens this agenda at 9 o’clock in the morning. Flash estimate showed inflation slowing down by one tenth of a percent to 2% in August. Energy is the main driver for price growth, followed by food, alcohol and tobacco. US Empire State Survey stats for September will be available at a half past noon GMT. Business activity remained robust in New York State in August. The headline general business conditions index climbed three points to 25.6. Canadian Foreign Securities Purchases report for July is released at the same time. Foreign investment in Canadian securities totalled 11 and a half billion Canadian Dollars in June, up from slightly more than 3 billion in May. Reserve Bank of Australia will release the closely watched September Monetary Policy Meeting minutes at 1:30 in the morning.
