This is the Dukascopy Spike Controller for Monday with a look at the average and peak spread levels for the 3 non-cross majors. Euro/Dollar’s daily average spread is point 35 pips. Peak of 1.3 pips was posted during the past hour. The pair has once again moved South of the 1 14 level as it declined by point 46% or 52 pips. Spreads have been relatively tame, both of the sides separated by the max of 1.3 pips today at 9:41 AM. The Cable’ daily average and maximum spreads are point 89 and 1.7 pips respectively. Pound/Dollar has shifted South as well, declining by point 3% or 38 pips. Spreads were slightly elevated yesterday minutes after 11 PM GMT, but 1.7 pips is the most you should have been charged. And last up is the Dollar/Yen, which has a daily average spread of point 3 pips. Maximum separation has been point 7 pips. Greenback surged against the Yen, rising above the 112 level as the pair gained point 38% or 42 pips.
