It’s time for the Dukascopy Economic Calendar, where we take a look at the potential market movers scheduled for publication on Thursday the 27th of September. We start in the US with a high importance release at 12-30PM GMT with the advance durable goods for August. Traders should pay close attention as this release always moves the dollar. At the same time we have the second quarter Final US GDP. The previous report showed the best performance in nearly 4 years at 4.2%. The final piece of data from the US at this time is the Jobless claims. Last time out the number stood at 201 thousand in the week ending September 15th. At 1-30 we’re back to Europe as ECB president Mario Draghi speaks in Frankfurt. Traders will be keen to see what the President has to say regarding ECB monetary policy moving forward. We go back across the Atlantic at 2PM GMT with US pending home sales for August. After an unexpected slip in July’s report, Traders will be expecting a recovery this time around. Then US Fed’s Jerome Powell will give a speech at 8-30. Anytime the FED chairman speaks the markets sit up and listen and this time will be no different. Finishing off the speeches for the day is Bank of Canada’s Poloz who will be speaking in New Brunswick at 9-45PM. At 11-01PM GMT the UK Consumer confidence for September will be released. The August report showed an increase of three points to Minus 7. We finish up this report in Japan at 11-30PM, with Japanese tokyo CPI and the Labour force survey. Then At 11-50PM with Preliminary Japanese retail sales and preliminary Industrial production. That’s all for this calendar.
