Euro and Sterling Both Moving South During Morning Session

It’s time once again for the Dukascopy Midday Snapshot, where we take a look at trader performance over the 12 hours to midday. Euro/Dollar has declined by 67 pips to hit the daily low just a pip above the 1 16 level. Turnover is low and sentiment of the traders is neutral, but long positions are up by 12%. Gradual decline puts bearish market players in better positions so far today. Pound/Dollar took a slide and a loss of point 6% was posted at noon. The Cable has attracted 103% more than typical funds and sentiment of the traders is neutral, 13% long. Bears had their chances as the pair moved steeply lower. Dollar/Yen moved South by 31 pips after 7 AM and the pair stood slightly in the red at midday. This pair sees less than half of the monthly average funds and neutral sentiment of the traders is 3% short. Bears had their chances as the pair declined, but the passive trading approach is the limiting factor. Pound/Yen has dropped by more than 100 pips and slide has resulted in a loss of point 77%. Trading has been active, volume is extremely high and sentiment is neutral, but leaning towards the short side by 12%. Trading should be successful for the small majority of the traders that had short positions. Euro/Yen declined below the 130 level and the pair stood point 56% South of the opening level at noon. Traded volume is average and sentiment of the traders is strongly bullish, 43% long. The rate went in the opposite direction to those forecasts, making losses more likely.
