We’re halfway through this week’s first trading day, and it’s time for the Dukascopy Midday Snapshot. Euro/Dollar rose by 49 pips after 7 AM and a gain of point 36% was posted at noon. Turnover is low and neutral sentiment of the traders is leaning towards the short side by 11%. Bulls saw solid profit opportunities as the rate moved further above the 1 16 level. Pound/Dollar has been moving higher and rise has resulted in a gain of point 4%. The Cable sees a typical amount of funds and most of them were in short positions. The rate has been on a rise throughout the session, making losses more likely for investors. Dollar/Yen has seen its trend change and only a slight gain was posted at midday. Trading has been calmer than usual, volume is low and neutral sentiment of the traders is 6% long. Shifting trend has provided both sides with successful trade opportunities. Pound/Yen shot up to hit the daily high just pips above the 147 level. Traded volume is extremely low and sentiment is neutral, short positions are up by just 6%. Traded volume is average and most of the traders have been forecasting the pair to head lower. It went up, making losses more likely for investors.
