European markets have opened higher this morning, as upbeat Chinese economic data reassured investors that China’s economic recovery is underway. However, gains were kept in check after the ECB lowered its Eurozone GDP forecast in its monthly bulletin. Closer home, investors await the release of UK trade deficit data, which is expected to show that nation’s total trade deficit contracted to £2.350 billion in June, from a £2.435 billion deficit in the previous month. Investors also looked ahead to Conference Board’s UK Leading Economic Index, due later today. – See more at: http://www.etxcapital.co.uk/news/markets-higher-on-china1#sthash.rptVh5UL.dpuf
