European markets have opened lower this morning, as traders preferred to wait on sidelines in the wake of thin trading on account of the US President’s Day holiday today. Meanwhile, a survey by Markit Economics revealed that finances of British households remained squeezed in February amid falling cash availability and muted wage growth.
