April 16th 2013, Daily Market Bite from Ishaq Siddiqi Market Strategist

European markets have opened lower this morning, extending their losses to a third straight session, as global growth concerns, a heavy sell-off in commodities and two explosions at the Boston Marathon hampered investor sentiment. Meanwhile, investors are expected to keep a close eye on the release of inflation data which might show that the consumer price index in the UK rose 2.8% YoY and 0.4% MoM in March. The release of producer prices and retail prices data would also remain on investors’ radar to get further clue about UK economy.
