It’s time for the final Dukascopy Economic Calendar of the week, where we take a look at the potential market movers scheduled for publication on Friday the 28th of September. We start in Switzerland at 7AM with the Swiss KOF Economic Barometer for September. Optimism in the Swiss economy cooled in August as the reading came in at 100.3, a fall from the previous months reading of 101.7. Then German Unemployment change for September is released at 7-55. This is followed by a couple of releases regarding the UK economy at 8-30AM. First is the second quarter UK current account stats. Then we have the Second quarter Final UK GDP. This is expected to confirm the ok growth displayed last time out at 0.4%, However an unexpected change could have a more significant effect on the economy. At 9, Flash Euro Zone CPI for September. This will be closely watched and could affect the euro further following a dip in the single currency after the FED raised rates. We cross over the atlantic at 12-30PM GMT for Canadian Gross domestic Product for July. Markets are expecting an increase in monthly GDP in July, following a weak performance in June. This is followed by Canadian Industrial Product and Raw Materials Prices for August, released at the same time. We finish this report with three US releases. Starting with US Personal Income and Spending for August at 12-30. After a solid rise of 0.4% in July, The US will be hoping for another strong showing. Then US Chicago PMI for September at 1-45PM. Analysts are expecting a slight drop from the previous months reading of 63.6 as trade concerns continue. And Final University of Michigan Survey for September brings this report to an end at 2PM GMT. The previous reading showed the second strongest stats since 2004 at 100.8, proving to be excellent news for the US as we approach the holiday season.
