Let’s find out if there have been any significant spread increases so far this week.
Euro/Dollar’s daily average spread is point 32 pips and both of the sides were 2.8 pips apart during the past 4 hours.
The pair rose sharply by point 45% or 52 pips, but a following slide wiped out most of the gains.
Spreads were bumpy on the way up, but 2.8 pips is the biggest separation you should have seen so far this week.
Next up is the Cable, which has long term average and maximum spreads of 1.18 and 1.3 pips respectively.
Pound/Dollar has moved sharply South from the high of 1 3090, dropping by point 48% or 63 pips.
Spreads have been relatively calm, peaking at only 1.3 pips today at midnight GMT.
And last up is the Dollar/yen, which has a daily average spread of point 31 pips. Both of the sides were 1.1 pips apart less than an hour ago.
Buck rose against the Yen, gaining point 47% or 53 pips as the pair moved towards the 113 level.
Spreads were slightly elevated today shortly after 9 AM, but you shouldn’t have been charged more than 1.1 pips.
I’m Jack Everitt and that’s all for Monday’s Spike Controller. Bye for now.
