It’s time for the Dukascopy Economic Calendar, where we take a look at the potential market movers scheduled for publication on Wednesday the 3rd of October. A day full of PMI releases, starting with Italian services PMI for September at 7-45AM. With The EU and Italy on a possible collision course over Italy’s budget this data could prove very important. Next is the Final French Services PMI for September, released 5 minutes later. The previous reading of 54.3 signalled a slowdown in French businesses and predictions are hoping for a bounce back. Then we have the Final German Services PMI for September at 7-55AM. The previous report missed the forecast and forced the euro to tick lower. Finishing up the Services PMI run at 8AM is the stats for the Eurozone for September. The ECB will be hoping for another gain, following a few disappointing reports in previous months. 30 Minutes after this we turn our attention to the UK, for UK CIPS Markit Services PMI for September. Last months report showed an increase, which put to an end a period of slower growth. Then at 9AM EuroZone Retail Sales for August. Last months report showed that retail sales in the 19 countries sharing the single currency fell by 0.2%. We go across the Atlantic at 12-15PM GMT for US ADP Employment Report for September. Last month showed private sector employment increased by 163 Thousand from July to August and forecasts suggest this month could be even higher. At 2PM US ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI for September is released. The previous report showed an increase to 58.5, which proved hugely impressive despite the current tariffs in place. We finish this report at 1-30AM with Australian Trade Balance for August. Last months report showed a narrowing at 1.55 Billion.
