German Unemployment Change data for August will be available at 7:55 in the morning. The number of unemployed continued declining in July, but a slower pace than expected. UK Lending to Individuals stats for July continue data run at 8:30. Lending increased slightly faster than anticipated in June at 5.4 billion. Then it’s busy with North American releases at a half past noon GMT, including US Jobless Claims. Initial claims continued trending lower in the week ending August the 18th as they declined by 2 thousand. US Personal Income and Spending for July continue the 12:30 data run. Both income and spending were up by point 4% month on month in June. The high importance Canadian GDP for June is the final report out at 12:30. Economy expanded at a stronger than expected pace of a half a percent in May. UK Consumer Confidence data for August will be available shortly after 11 PM. Confidence deteriorated further in July and the index was down by 1 point to minus 10. A couple of Japanese publications will be out at 11:30 PM, including Tokyo Consumer Price Index for August and Labour Force Survey for July. Preliminary Japanese Industrial Production stats for July are then released at ten to midnight. Chinese PMIs for August wrap up this economic calendar at 1 AM.
