Euro Holds Despite Greek Rumblings
Morning Report: 8.30 London
• This morning, financial markets are holding firm alongside the dollar index despite sabre rattling between Greece, the Troika and Germany over the treatment of debt.
• Despite these rumblings, the euro is out performing this morning, with the EUR/JPY and EUR/GBP up around 0.68%. The EUR/USD is rallying 0.48%.
• The USD/JPY is recovering from an opening slip in strong fashion and is now in the black for the day.
• Elsewhere, the USD/CAD extends its winning streak.
Coming up today:
• Coming up today, we have UK manufacturing PMI at 09.30, with a slight increase to 52.9 expected.
• Following this we have US ISM manufacturing PMI at 15.00, with a small dip on the cards.
Trade Idea:
• The EUR/JPY is displaying some impressive relative strength this morning as the euro rides rough shot over political disagreements.
A good way to play this is a HIGHER trade predicting that the EUR/JPY closes above 134.00 in 4 days time for a potential return of 117%.
