Morning Report: 08.15 London

• This morning financial markets are extremely quiet after the volatility seen late last week. The S&P 500 is holding at the highs and the dollar index is maintaining its up trend, but so far market traders are unwilling to make a big move.
                                                                                                               

                               
                            
                               
                                                                             
• Commodities are showing some fight, recovering from last week’s sell off that little bit more.

                               

• The NZD/USD is the biggest mover so far as the pair holds firmly above support levels.

                               
                       
• Elsewhere, the euro still looks vulnerable with both the EUR/USD just holding above support.

                               

                               

Coming up today:

• We’ve a quiet day ahead, with the German Buba monthly report the main item at 11.00.


Trade Idea:

• The euro looks vulnerable at present with the EUR/USD pairs clinging to support levels. If this level break there could be some downside from here for the EUR/JPY, even in this low volume environment.


                               

A LOWER trade predicting that the EUR/JPY will close below 136.75 in 4 days time could return 150% if successful.
