Morning Report: 08.30 London

• This morning, financial markets are upbeat
as US company earnings season starts to kick in. US stock market futures are pointing to a positive day, with the S&P 500 looking to keep up the up trend.

• The yen pairs are recovering after Monday’s sell off, with the AUD/JPY and GBP/JPY finding support.

• The dollar pairs are also recovering, especially the AUD/USD which is confirming recent support levels. The USD/CAD has continued to out perform since last week’s data.

Coming up today:

• Coming up today, we have ECB President Draghi speaking at 08.30, with the ECOFIN meeting running throughout the day.

• UK manufacturing is due at 09.30 with a drop of 0.6% expected. UK trade balance is expected at 09.30, with a drop to
-8.3bn on the cards. The UK is under focus again at 15.00, with the latest NIESR GDP estimate.

Bet Idea:

• The NZD/USD has out performed it&rsqu
o;s peers in recent weeks, with the recent sell off maintained within it’s September-October trading range.

• With global sentiment having worked off some of the extreme opt
imism seen last week, which takes away some of the risk factors from a potential rally here.

A good way to play this might be a HIGHER trade predicting that the NZD/USD closes above 0.8225 in 3 days time for a potential return of 127%.
