BetOnMarkets Daily Market Report (6th March)

• After record highs for the Dow Jones last night, there’s an air of caution for financial markets this morning ahead of this afternoon’s US ADP payrolls. The morning’s data has so far been reassuring, with Australian GDP coming in at 0.6% and UK house price data coming in ahead of initial estimates.

• The Australian dollar is higher again this morning, though pulling back from the highs, with the NZD/USD experiencing a more severe morning pullback.

Coming up today:

• Coming up today we have BOE governor King speaking at 09.45.

• US ADP non farm employment change dominates the day’s proceedings at 13.15.

• From 15.00 we switch to Canada with the latest rate statement and Ivey PMI.

Bet Idea:

• The EUR/JPY has been unusually quiet this week. The last time the three day average true range reached this low was back in November. This impasse didn’t last long, with markets reaching fresh weekly highs then w
eekly lows within days.

• With the euro constrained by Italian politics, it the first break from this range could be to the down side, making a ONE TOUCH trade the best play here.
